KR Wilson Engine Stand mounting holes?

Hello all. I have a KR Wilson Engine Stand upright that the holes are about 1 inch inboard from the corresponding holes in the KR Wilson base. It does not look like someone welded the original holes and re-drilled. Does anyone have an idea why this upright is different? Any help is greatly appreciated.
